Job Overview
We are looking for an experienced and driven Credit Controller to take ownership of the accounts receivable process, manage a portfolio of customers, and help strengthen the company’s overall credit control function. Working in a fast-paced, collaborative environment—ideally within the tech or similar sector—you will play a key role in improving cash flow, reducing aged debt, and building strong relationships across departments and with clients. This role is ideal for someone with a strong collections background, a proactive mindset, and the ability to resolve payment barriers quickly and professionally.
Job Responsibilities
• Full ownership of the end-to-end accounts receivable process.
• Proactively chase overdue invoices via phone and email.
• Log non-payment reasons and track client promises to pay.
• Negotiate and manage payment plans where necessary.
• Collaborate with Sales, Billing, and Service Delivery teams to resolve customer issues preventing payment.
• Keep internal teams informed of payment performance and drive accountability.
• Maintain detailed case histories for accounts and support next-step decisions.
• Participate in credit risk reporting, analysis, and process improvement initiatives.
• Recommend credit limit reviews and assist in collections strategy.
Required Skills & Experience
• Previous experience working in B2B credit control, ideally in the tech industry or a fast-paced environment.
• Proven track record in managing aged debt portfolios and achieving cash collection targets.
• Experience handling outbound call targets, direct debit collections, and managing your own ledger.
• Knowledge of defined credit policies and implementing collection strategies.
• Familiarity with Oracle NetSuite ERP and/or Salesforce.
• CICM (Chartered Institute of Credit Management) qualification is a plus.
Preferred Qualifications

• Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Excel and finance systems.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong customer service orientation and negotiation abilities.
• Self-motivated with a strong sense of accountability and ownership.
Desirable:
• Experience with NetSuite and/or Salesforce platforms.
• Strong analytical and reporting skills.
