Job Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Billing Analyst with hands-on experience using the Tekton billing platform. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and analysing billing data, generating accurate invoices, and supporting revenue assurance processes. You will work closely with the finance, sales, and operations teams to ensure billing accuracy, resolve discrepancies, and improve internal processes related to invoicing and data integrity.
Job Responsibilities
1. Billing Operations
• Generate, review, and issue customer invoices using the Tekton billing platform.
• Ensure all billing is completed accurately and on schedule, in line with contractual agreements.
• Monitor billing data for completeness, accuracy, and anomalies.
• Maintain up-to-date billing records and support month-end close activities.
2. Data Analysis & Reporting
• Analyse billing trends and identify discrepancies or areas for improvement.
• Prepare regular and ad hoc billing and revenue reports for management.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure data alignment across systems.
3. Reconciliation & Dispute Management
• Investigate and resolve billing queries, disputes, or discrepancies.
• Work closely with clients and internal teams to clarify charges or usage issues.
• Perform regular reconciliations between billing and accounting systems.
4. System & Process Improvement
• Act as a key user of the Tekton billing platform, helping to optimise usage and streamline workflows.
• Contribute to the development and documentation of billing procedures.
• Support system updates, testing, and integration initiatives as required.
Required Skills & Experience
• Proven experience as a Billing Analyst, Billing Specialist, or similar role.
• Strong working knowledge of the Tekton billing platform.
• Proficient in Excel and financial reporting tools.
• Excellent numerical accuracy and attention to detail.
• Strong communication skills and ability to liaise confidently with internal and external stakeholders.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications
• Degree or diploma in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field.
• Experience working within telecoms, utilities, SaaS, or subscription-based industries is a plus.
• Familiarity with revenue assurance, data validation, or audit processes is advantageous.
