Job Overview
We are looking for a dynamic and results-driven Sales Agent with experience in the gas and electricity sector. This role is ideal for a motivated individual with a background in energy sales, brokerage, or utilities management who thrives in a fast-paced, target-driven environment. As a Sales Agent, you’ll be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, presenting tailored energy solutions, and negotiating contracts with both residential and commercial clients. You’ll play a key role in helping customers save on energy costs while navigating regulatory requirements and supplier offerings.
Job Responsibilities
1. Sales & Business Development
• Identify and approach new B2B and B2C clients in the energy market.
• Promote and sell fixed-rate tariffs, bespoke energy solutions, and contracts.
• Consistently meet or exceed sales targets and revenue objectives.
2. Client Relationship Management
• Build strong client relationships through cold calling, meetings, and networking.
• Assess client energy needs and propose cost-effective solutions.
• Handle objections, manage queries, and ensure smooth contract transitions.
3. Energy Industry & Product Knowledge
• Stay current on energy market trends, wholesale pricing, and regulatory changes.
• Understand pricing structures, contract options, and efficiency strategies.
• Remain informed on Ofgem regulations and government energy initiatives.
4. Sales Reporting & CRM Management
• Record and manage all sales activities and lead progress in the CRM system.
• Provide regular sales forecasts and performance updates.
• Monitor competitor activity and market trends for strategic insight.
5. Negotiation & Contract Management
• Prepare and present energy proposals and pricing options.
• Negotiate contract terms and secure new business.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards during client onboarding.
Required Skills & Experience
• Proven success in energy sales (gas and/or electricity), brokerage, or utilities.
• Experience with both B2B and B2C selling environments.
• Strong negotiation and closing skills with a consultative approach.
• Knowledge of energy pricing, contracts, and market dynamics.
• CRM proficiency and excellent reporting discipline.
• Self-motivated, target-oriented, and confident working independently.
• UK driver’s license (if required for client visits).
Preferred Qualifications
• Degree or certification in Sales, Business, or Energy Management (preferred).
• Familiarity with Ofgem regulations and government incentives.
• Background in energy procurement or account management.
