Job Overview
We are looking for a talented and proactive SEO Link Builder & Content Writer with experience in the technology, communications, and IT Managed Services (MSP) sectors. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of SEO best practices, content strategy, and backlink acquisition, with hands-on experience using Surfer SEO or similar optimisation tools. You will be responsible for creating engaging, optimised content and building high-quality backlinks to improve search rankings and increase organic visibility across targeted platforms.
Job Responsibilities
1. SEO Content Writing
• Research and write high-quality, engaging, and SEO-optimised content tailored to tech, IT, and communications audiences.
• Use tools such as Surfer SEO to optimise content structure, keyword usage, and on-page elements.
• Collaborate with internal teams to develop content for blogs, landing pages, service pages, and outreach campaigns.
• Maintain a consistent tone of voice and brand messaging across all written content.
2. Link Building & Outreach
• Identify and secure relevant, high-authority backlinks through white-hat link building techniques.
• Conduct outreach to industry websites, blogs, and publications for guest posts, features, and collaborations.
• Monitor and analyse backlink profiles, ensuring links are ethical and improve domain authority.
• Maintain a database of outreach contacts and link-building efforts.
3. SEO Strategy Support
• Assist in developing and executing on-page and off-page SEO strategies.
• Conduct keyword research, competitive analysis, and content gap assessments.
• Monitor SEO performance and adjust tactics based on analytics and reporting.
Required Skills & Experience
• Proven experience as a Content Writer and SEO Link Builder, ideally within tech, IT, or communications sectors.
• Familiarity with Surfer SEO, SEMrush, Ahrefs, or similar tools.
• Strong understanding of on-page and off-page SEO, backlink strategies, and Google best practices.
• Excellent written English with the ability to write for both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Ability to manage multiple content projects and outreach campaigns simultaneously.
• Comfortable with remote collaboration tools such as Slack, Trello, or Notion.
Preferred Qualifications
• Degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, or a related field (preferred but not essential).
• Experience writing for or working with IT MSPs or B2B tech companies.
• Familiarity with Google Analytics, Search Console, and content performance tracking.
