Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced 3rd Line Network & Security Engineer to join our dynamic IT team. The ideal candidate will possess advanced networking and security expertise, with a focus on complex troubleshooting, design, and implementation. You will be responsible for maintaining and optimizing our network infrastructure and security posture, ensuring high availability and performance.

Job Responsibilities

  • Provide expert-level 3rd line support for complex network and security issues, ensuring timely resolution and minimal disruption.
  • Design, implement, and manage advanced network solutions, including SD-WAN, routing, switching, and wireless technologies.
  • Configure and maintain Fortinet security appliances, including firewalls, VPNs, and intrusion detection/prevention systems.
  • Implement and manage cloud networking solutions, integrating on-premises infrastructure with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP).
  • Perform network and security assessments, identifying vulnerabilities and recommending remediation strategies.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive network and security documentation.
  • Collaborate with other IT teams and vendors to ensure seamless integration of network and security solutions.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest networking and security technologies and trends.
  • Participate in on-call rotation as required.
  • Provide mentorship and technical guidance to junior network engineers.

Required Skills & Experience

  • Advanced Networking (Routing, Switching, SD-WAN)
  • Fortinet Security Appliances (Firewall, VPN, IPS/IDS)
  • Cloud Networking (AWS, Azure, GCP)
  • Network Security Assessment and Hardening
  • Troubleshooting and Problem Resolution
  • Documentation and Reporting
  • Scripting (e.g., Python, Bash) is a plus.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Proven experience in a 3rd line network and security role.
  • CCIE (level equivalent) networking skills.
  • Strong experience with Fortinet security products and certifications (Fortinet Professional preferred).
  • Extensive knowledge of SD-WAN technologies and implementation.
  • Expertise in networking switching and routing protocols (e.g., BGP, OSPF, VLANs).
  • Experience with cloud networking and security in AWS, Azure, or GCP.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Relevant industry certifications (e.g., CCNP, Security+, CISSP) are a plus.
