We are seeking an experienced Senior Odoo Developer to join our growing technology team. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining Odoo applications, with a focus on creating scalable, efficient, and user-friendly business solutions. This role requires strong technical expertise in Odoo, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with stakeholders across the business.

Key Responsibilities

Lead the design, customisation, and deployment of Odoo modules to meet business requirements.
Analyse, design, and develop new features and applications within the Odoo framework.
Integrate Odoo with third-party systems and applications.
Maintain and enhance existing Odoo modules, ensuring stability and performance.
Collaborate with functional teams to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
Conduct code reviews, mentor junior developers, and ensure adherence to best practices.
Provide technical support and troubleshoot issues across deployed systems.
Ensure data security, system integrity, and compliance with relevant standards.

Key Requirements

Proven experience (5+ years) working with Odoo (versions 12–16 preferred).
Strong Python programming skills and knowledge of PostgreSQL.
Experience with Odoo module development, customisation, and integration.
Familiarity with front-end technologies (HTML, JavaScript, XML, QWeb).
Solid understanding of business processes (finance, sales, inventory, HR, CRM, etc.).
Experience with API development and system integrations.
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.

Desirable

Previous experience in leading Odoo projects from concept to deployment.
Knowledge of Docker, Git, and CI/CD pipelines.
Understanding of Agile methodologies.

Ability to commute/relocate:

Cape Town, Western Cape (City of Cape Town): Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)
